The 2009 Chicken Season in now over

Saturday was chicken processing day - Sunday was a day of "rest".

All said and done - a crew of 7 people processed 76 chickens in a total "heads down" work time of about 2 hours...  not the fastest processing on the planet - but a steady stream of chickens...  and a ton of fun.

A very heartfelt thank you to all our processors who helped - we couldn't have done this without you.

And to our first year of  customers - we wouldn't have done this without you - so thank you, again!

It was a terrific season - and we are already looking forward to next year...  more chickens...  eggs...  we shall see what else!

On Sunday - to "rest"...  I cleaned up the final remnants of the season, put the pasture pens away for another year, mowed the pasture and I began weeding the garden that's been neglected ;)

Stay tuned here for pictures and posts from the big day - and thanks again!
