Hatching Hope

Now that the chickens are done I'm sure you have noticed the amount of activity here seems to have slowed down to a snails pace... And I acknowledge that's the case... but only online! I have been taking some time to recover from the frantic pace over the last 2 months - but thing around the farm have been anything but "slow".
We have processed and put up an avalanche of beans - 16 jars canned (both pints and quarts) as well as around a dozen or so blanched and frozen beans vacuum sealed in the freezer.
Zucchini is appearing in breads, muffins, sauces, grills, soups... you name it - it's got some of the green veggie in it.
And the tomatoes... it started a couple of weeks ago with a few of the cherries turning red... then some of the paste ones... now - we stand on the verge of an all out tomato onslaught (yummy!)
We almost have the logistics of chickens worked out for next year - so start thinking about your orders...
