Daily Bread
Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 6:34AM
Given all the happenings on the farm as of late we have still been able to keep ourselves content with lots of comfort food. One of which is bread (as you know from other posts, other post, beer bread post).
Well - to go with our fresh radishes I felt compelled to bake our own fresh French artisan baguettes. Have to say they turned out great - nice crispy crust, soft airy center.
Some salt-less butter, a sprinkle of sea salt and 3 or 4 slices of 30 minute chilled fresh radishes - nothing better on a hot summer day!
We are 2 and Kelli sequestered the 3rd off to the freezer for a day when we don't have fresh bread on the counter top.
(no the roses are not from the farm - my cousin sent those to us as a thank you - and they were lovely)
