Chicken Life - Day 21
Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 12:12PM
The chicks turned 3 weeks old yesterday - which means they are just a couple of days away from heading our to the pasture - likely Saturday if the weather stays the way it looks (which is good).
They are eating a lot now - and have lost most of their yellow down - in favor of partial coverings of feathers.
They also have become more "aggressive" with each other... not in a bad way - but towards the end of the video clip you can see two of them standing up tall facing each other, flapping wings and doing a little stare-down. Which is all completely normal... they are flock animals after all... and they need to have a "pecking order".

All in all - they are doing very good!
