Our namesake says - Spring is coming...

While it's really nice to enjoy the weather... it's extra nice when the name sake or our "farm" shows up in full force. For the last couple weeks - every trip outside when there is light in the sky is a welcome reminder of the thaw - because in the trees and in the field we keep hearing the Eastern Bluebird singing. Well - in the last several days - multiple males and females have been bounding about - looking at the nest boxes and positioning for mating rights and low cost housing.

Speaking of housing... the big housing bubble is evident out here - as there is a lot of contention for our nest boxes by several species... but we are secretly helping out a favorite... hope Mother Nature is cool with that!

Oh cool! I guess I really need to figure out how I'm going to put up those bird houses my brother built for me....and soon! I haven't seen any bluebirds since they were flitting around in the field across the street back in December - hopefully they'll be back.
