Bedroom antics

We finally got in gear on this project... seems like for whatever reason it took some doing to gain traction. Usually we just GO - but this one seemed to really hang over our heads.
Sometime back in October we purchased a bunch of nice carbonized vertical bamboo for the master bedroom - and then just let it acclimate to the house... over November, December and January.
Anyhow - we decided rather than spend about $500-600 on the right air tool, cleats, and good kneepads... we would spend just a little more than that and have a professional take over and get it done. So - this week Kelli has altered her work schedule to be home - and we are getting the new floor put in. We are expecting a huge difference - as these pictures show. Here's what the room looked like when we looked at the house...
Here's where it's at now... Soon we will have pictures of the new floor down!
Ohh - we also took the opportunity last night to put a fresh coat of white on the ceiling (with no worries of drips). Once the floor is in we (read Kelli) will take care of selecting a color for the walls and trim - and we will get that done.

It's looking a little stark - maybe you could should decorate a little. Oh, and maybe add some furniture? ;-)

What is it about NY and people putting down hardwood floors? That's all mom's talked about having done lately as well. Oh well - I'm jealous!

PS Hope you're enjoying the rain today! Bet you can't wait to get back home after work to check the weather monitor.
