Wind-B-Gone (maybe)

Well - I may have been harsh and angry about the utter incompetent customer service experience with Oregon Scientific - but I'm also not one to take no for an answer... so - after I cooled down I called back the next day to see what I could manage. I ended up falling for a trap in the phone queue that says "we have the ability to keep your place in the queue and call you back when a representative is available - just press 1 and put in your callback number." So - like a lemming - I did... and hung up.
After about 40 minutes I decided to call back again and wait on hold... when presented with the same option I pressed nothing - and almost immediately was connected to another customer service rep (for the record - I'm still waiting for the call back - and it's like 56 hours later now).
I took a deep breath - and launched into the overall experience with the trusty WMR100... he was shocked and dismayed by the tale I told... so - what happened...
Supposedly I'm getting a new outdoor sensor sent to me next week. Free shipping to send the defective part back... I'll keep you posted.
As for those of you that are still watching the weather here - you will see that sometimes there is wind data and sometimes the sensor does not report wind data.
Ohh - and it's COLD!
