Burn baby burn

Coming inside out of the cold into a warm space is always a pleasant experience on damp fall days... and now that same experience is available in our barn. (wow - that sounded very "marketing guy"-esque)
Several weeks back my Uncle Charlie came up for a weekend and we - amongst other things - got the barrel stove I built this summer hooked into the chimney. Although that particular weekend - stoking the fire when it was 70 degrees out wasn't the "smartest" thing I ever did - it has been very nice to have the stove on the frosty mornings when I have things to be getting done in the barn and don't want to run the awesome propane heater from last year.
I also took delivery of 2 face cords of what was supposed to be "seasoned" firewood... in reality it ended up being shy of 2 - and it's rather dry, punky, several year old "sat under grandma's trees" wood"... it will burn this year just fine. And it was cheap. Anyhow - I stacked it all next to the new back door in the barn and wrapped it up in a blue tarp to keep it dry.
The goal with the 2 face cords is to burn about 1/2 a face every "cold" month I'm in the barn on weekends (Dec, Jan, Feb, March) - so in the spring when the lean-to project kicks off I'm not moving any wood again.
