Storm of the century - take 2

Man - we got hammered out here again yesterday with the big windstorm... and this time I have real numbers from that weather station!

3:15am - it was 50 degrees out - and there was gentle 6mph steady breeze... by 5:44 am - the breeze became a 51.6mpg gust - and the temperature had already fallen to 35 degrees...

And as the day wore on - we recorded sustained winds of 48.1 mph over a large portion of the day... with gusts over 60 mph on 3 separate occasions... (peak gust was 60.8mph)!

It's been brutal out here - even as the winds are letting up (right now the average is 20mph and gusts over 30) - the wind chill is 6.9 degrees!

And - we lost more shingles - many of the ones we just paid to have replaced!

Do replaced shingles come with a warranty?

We got hit hard by that wind storm as well - I was surprised there were no trees/branches down around here - but I guess they've all been cleaned out from recent windstorms - nothing left to knock loose!

That storm kept waking both of us up through out the night. Brett said he got up at one point after some loud noise, went out in the living room and found all three cats freaked out by whatever he heard. We still don't know what it was.

I definitely need to go out and do a shingle check - I forgot to do that!

Good thing you've got your weather station - that just makes me even more jealous!

Guess we will find out - I highly doubt it - since the incident that blew them off is not related to the installation... just more wind!

We are blaming global warming (seeing as how it got colder when the winds hit)!
