The Sub-Soil Situation - part 3

This plow is getting on my last nerve... But, of course I knew it would not be fixed simply by raising the pins. Because with the pins raised - the top link is now too close to the bottom link pins - and that makes the adjustment and lifting of the implement somewhat of a disaster... so - today I'm off to find parts to fabricate a taller top link point. See, right now - the top link is about 8" from the bottom link pins... the spec is 18"... so - as you can imagine - things don't exactly work right. Here's the work going on remounting the pins.
Hopefully I'll be able to just bolt on some height and a couple of bracing bars... I'm really not looking forward to throwing the plow back in the truck and roaming the countryside looking for another welder (Frank did a great job but I don't want to impose again).
The barn has stalled too - it's about $300 for just the wire to get things the way I want them before more insulation goes up... so much for a budget!
