The bird that couldn't fly

Over the last month or so Kelli and I have been plagued by the sound of this little bird (or so we thought) out behind the house. This "bird" moves from one bush to another - making a loud clucking sound. We have tried sneaking up on it - moving quickly to get it to flush - I have even run around the house to catch a glimpse of it up on the roof. All our efforts have been fruitless.
That is - until the other day. When we were setting the umbrella up on the table - I discovered our feather-less bird!Tell me this isn't a cool looking tree frog. I have found a few more like him around the back of the house - in the strangest of places.
Those little suckers on his fingertips sure do let him hang in there... and for his diminutive size - he's LOUD!

If he weren't stuck to the side of stuff, I would've guessed he was a toad from those markings!

I can just imagine you guys chasing around the shrubs trying to find it...

We have plenty of frogs and toads at our place - I was filling the sinking trench in our back yard yesterday and had a frog come flying out of it and then it took off across the yard.... I've never seen one frog make so many consecutive, non-stop hops before- especially since I wasn't even following it. It definitely wanted to hightail it outta there!

Remember the day we were looking all around for the "bird making all the noise" and Tim was shaking all the bushes around the kennel to flush out the little critter. I can't believe its a frog.
