The Perfect Pour - In Pictures - Conclusion
Sunday, August 26, 2007 at 8:11PM
With the completion of the floor - this weekend was a chance to finish up the details and actually start to think about moving some things in... so - before the barn became cluttered - I felt it necessary to take some pictures of how things look...
The grading of the new gravel up front is done and the new stoop looks great!
All the conduits and pipes are ready to get hooked up and make things start to happen in the barn.
Here is where 2 kinds of caulk meet - the DAP concrete caulk and the GE Concrete caulk... At first - I thought the GE stuff was nicer than the DAP - it's the darker gray stuff - looks more like the concrete itself - and seemed to be a little more response to the putty knife making it go where I wanted to to go... BUT - after all the caulk dried - you can see how the GE stuff left a visible residue alongside the seams... whereas the DAP just appears to have filled the gap. My recommendation for concrete caulk - DAP!
And from near the back wall - here's a view I expect to be enjoying a lot over the coming years - once the woodworking shop gets set up!
