The other side - inside
Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 7:54AM
As has been mentioned, Kelli has been just as busy inside the house as I have been outside. Maybe the things she has been working on aren't as broadly coordinated as the pouring of a new floor - but there has been tons of progress made... and things are really looking great in some of the "further along" rooms around the house. So - for fun - we thought we would post the before and after shots of two rooms.
On our tour, the first stop is the family room - this picture was taken on December 31st as we were putting the the offer that was obviously accepted...
To keep the scale correct - we had Watson play the role of the previous owners dog. As you can see, the styles of decorating are a little different... (and the initial picture does have the Christmas stuff to contend with)... The ottoman in the left of the picture is on schedule for replacement soon - as last night we were at the furniture store looking at fabric choices for a new chair. The TV stand is also on schedule for replacement - as soon as the barn gets settled.
The second room on our tour is the Meadow View Room... names such for it's view of the, uhh, meadow. Here's the before...
And the after... what you can't see to the left here is a sitting area and a chest of drawers - making the room quite cozy for guests. We decided to keep the colors as-is here since they work well with the linen set Kelli found and also the brass bed. Still to be done here are some light flow-ey window treatments and some artwork on the walls with the same color theme - I'm thinking a print from the Naples Grape Festival...
(working against the same scale photographs is the fact that all the before shots were taken using Max and Carols wide angle camera - the after shots were taken using our camera... they have all the cool toys!)

I'm just guessing, but Watson looks a little smaller than your average German shepherd? LOL
Still, the pics of the interiod of the house look nice! And I bet you have some beautiful views out the windows once everything outside is covered in snow!?
