Just what I needed...

Kelli will argue that it's NOT what I needed - another tractor implement. But not just any implement - an old Kubota One Bottom Plow...
Which, looking at its curves, you can see why I say it's EXACTLY what I needed. See, up until now the only way we could break new ground here on the farm is with the front end loader on the tractor, the back hoe on the tractor, by hand or the little mini Husqvarna tiller of Kelli's... And while that may sound like a lot of options - none of them are especially good at making garden space or deer food plot space. So - we have been talking about buying a 3-pt hitch attached tiller for the tractor... but that's super expensive.
Enter the free plow... now all we need is a pretty inexpensive 4 or 5' disk to pull behind the tractor and we can turn ANYTHING into plant-able land. I'm sure I'll get this hooked up sometime over the next week to see how well it works... but by the looks of it - I'll have plenty of capacity for making furrows!

Looks like that tire is a bit flat and the moldboard definitly needs cleaning and scouring!
Yay - big farm toys!
