The first Birthday Celebrated Here

Today we celebrated the first birthday at Chicken Thistle Farm - Meeeeeeeeeeme turned, um, Happy Birthday Meme!
Dinner was Cumin-Crusted Pork Chops with a Peach Chipolte Salsa (we grew and smoked the Chipolte's last year and made my own Adobo for them.... mmmmm). And to accompany the meat, HUGE helpings of Grilled Vegetables with Orange/Chipolte Dressing... And grilled in the Husk Corn...
and Brewsters Ice Cream Cake (best ice cream you can buy - not quite as good as cranking your own)...
Everyone left full - and happy... We also met some more of our neighbors.
One thing we noted about living out here in the country - all the neighbors we have met are far nicer, friendlier, and out going than ANY of the ones we had back at The Shoecraft.

Like the site, food looks good enough to eat and great to read tha tAndy and Max have finished the barn wiring....now I can fist again as all the work is done....ha!
I am honored to have the first birthday celebration at Chicken Thistle Farm. It was a very nice day, the dinner was picture perfect - and delicious and the ice cream cake was the best I have ever tasted. Let's pretend that next weekend is my birthday again!
