Our first real snow - Part 2
Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at 12:01PM
Well - here's the proof that this set up works... these shots from Sunday when I was testing in about 3-4" of the white stuff.
With a little zoom - it's not going to win any records for the farthest throw...
Bottom line - the chute rotates, the snow flies out, the height can be set to keep stones from getting thrown down to a minimum... all good.
Basically - this setup puts the plow truck out of business.
This morning we had close to 6" in the parts of the driveway where the wind didn't blow it bare... and including a 7 minute time slice to fix the way the chute rotate lever is attached to the tractor and replace an impeller shear bolt - it only took 27 minutes to run down and back 2X's... and clear the large area between the barn and the garage.
Very happy. And it's now painless to do - thanks to the face mask Kelli picked up for me!

Oh waaaaaaaaaay cool - nice yard toy! VERY handy this time of year, especially considering all the snow you guys are getting. This puts my dad's snow plow on his tiller to shame!
