24 inches of eggs, milk and bread

Forecast : 20+ inches of snow
Response : bread, milk and eggs (huh?)
If you have been following the news - at all you are well aware of the big storm that moved through the middle of the US and then came up the east coast... Well here in Upstate NY we were told over and over by the local weather terrorists to expect almost 2 feet of snow... and then show video on the tv of people storming the grocery stores for bread, milk and eggs... uhh huhh... that's always my reaction...
Never the less - people were out getting gas, buying food goods, generally going crazy like this snow storm might end civilization as we know it... all the bread, milk and eggs you could imagine was gone from all the local stores... sure, right, whatever...
Well - the storm has mostly been a bust - so all these bread, milk and egg shoppers are going to be able to go out to eat... because I gotta figure if you HAVE to run out and buy bread, milk and eggs when you might be snowed in for, ohh, I don't know 12 - 24 hours... you must have pretty bare cupboards...
Which got me to thinking - what are people going to do with all this bread, milk and eggs they have now? My only guess is there is some sort of connection with snow storms and the desire to make - French Toast! So - who are we to argue with associative science... We started this snowstorm-less day with an alternative to the boring old breakfast standard.
Here's how to make some Chicken Thistle Farm French Toast! (but I can't help you if you bought some sort of pasty, doughy, Wonder Bread-ish stuff...)
Chicken Thistle Farm French Toast (for 2)
4 eggs
slightly less that 1/4 c milk
bit of salt
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. nutmeg
1 - 1 1/2 t. vanilla extract
1-2 T. fresh honey (sugar will work just fine - brown sugar for a change)
about 2 nice large slices of a thick crusty bread (like this - or obviously french bread)
1/4 c. wild blueberries

In a large bowl whisk together eggs, milk, salt, honey and spices. Cut bread into nice manageable chunks (think bite sized for manly men). Toss bread in egg mixture. Add drained room temp blueberries. And either do up in a fry pan with butter (like standard french toast) - or add to well greased glass casserole dish - pop in a 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes.
Slather with warm REAL maple syrup... Enjoy with a cup of coffee.

I left a day too early because of the weather terrorists. I could have enjoyed the delicious Chicken Thistle Farm french toast this morning. However, I do have my supply of eggs, milk and bread and I could make the french toast OR I could bring my ingredients to the master chef at Chicken Thistle Farm!

The French Toast was good - but something tells me you will have a chance to have something similar very soon...

I can be there by say, 6am or if you prefer, I could leave now and be there in 2 hours!

Hi,
I am not looking for farming info. I am trying to locate a place that used to make sheerling? lined hats and sold them at a craft show called Sugarloaf. I had a hat from there that I lost and am deparately trying to replace. If by some miracle that was a product from your farm please contact me at gloriousinteriors@verizon.net. Thanks much.
