Wheel of Time

I know- I missed a few days - but I have been busy - I swear! As in - very busy fixing the leaky front tire on the tractor. And in usual form - what should have been a short and simple job (it's relativity easy to pop a tire off the rim) - these little monster with their "Rim Guard" sidewalls are anything but easy to manipulate.
So - Monday night the tube was on my doorstep waiting for me to install it. And I tried - and failed.
So last night after a stop to a Goodyear store, a corner service station and finally a tractor dealer - I got someone who was willing to lend a hand in the repair - but not without a price.
See - the tractor place I stopped in is the kind that sells those green tractors - the kind with the yellow wheels... so a guy walking in with an orange "anything" is asking for a beating.
Anyhow - after hearing how "their" tractors don't get flats... and how "their" tractors are easier to get tires off the wheels... and how "their" tractors are better in every imaginable way...
All in all - I suppose I deserved it... and I do have to say - they were a GREAT bunch of guys - and I would consider them for the next implement - or even when the day comes for a bigger tractor to manager the field better. (here's where all my orange friends will start to kill me)
