Ready for the (four letter word starting with s)

It's hard to say it - but... I guess being the end of November and not having really had any of it - it's hardly right to be so negative about it. So - SNOW. We are getting ready for the snow. Between the plow truck and the snow blower - we should be able to dig out from just about anything nature throws at us this year. The fence we put up a few weeks back is also on our side.
Here's a picture of the "used for $300" snow thrower I picked up this summer. It needed some work on the lower lift pins - as in it didn't have any. So I drilled out the upright braces and put in new pins... yes they are facing the wrong way - but because the blower is a modified front mount (with a rear mount gearing) - the spread was too much for my lift arms... also since a snow thrower gets pushed in reverse - the arms will want to spread - and they will push against the frame - not the pins - when in this configuration.
Anyhow - after I finished fixing this up - it was attached to the tractor for the next 4 or 5 months (yuck) - the tractor started - PTO engaged - and a small stone was tossed into the second stage impeller - it pitched it out the shoot pretty good. It's not going to wind any awards for "the farthest thrown snow" - but it will do the job!
All I need to do now is fix the arm for rotating the chute!
