Soon, shell be a blowin'

We know it... soon the four letter white flaky stuff will be a rollin' and a blowin'. And since most of our acreage is to the west of the house, and a field, and sloping down away from the house... the fact the driveway runs N-S makes a GREAT place for a drift to be generated... and we know this because the big Valentines Day snow last year put a 8' drift across the driveway... So - we are preparing correctly this year.
We have about 150' feet of the nice wooden snow fence up - with lots more of the plastic should we need to add some in other locations. The reality is - if we can keep the drifts off the 2/5 mile long driveway - then between the beater old plow truck (the colder it gets the harder that thing is to start) and the rear mounted snow thrower (still need to get that fixed) - we should be OK clearing the snow.
