Big buck

I'll let the new house, new bow and nice deer all speak for themselves.
Taken Sunday 11/11 at 4:55pm - 25 yards - called in with grunting.
First deer with new bow - first deer this year - first deer at the new
house - first deer on my own property - nice 8 point - very BIG deer.
You have seen him before too - based on the rack geometry - we are almost positive he's the guy on the left of this picture from the summer : Here.
The hunt:
The story is pretty simple - we started the day by putting up snow fence and I ended it with this monster deer. I got out to the stand at about 3:50 - same stand I have been in all season and seen lots and lots of deer from - used my pocket range finder to mark off distances - and sat. After a little while (while the filed of corn behind me is being harvested with a big combine) I saw a little button buck come out into the path at the far side of the field.
I grunted a few times and he appeared interested - so I then bleat 3 times. He started walking right towards me then stopped abruptly. From behind me in the corn I hear the sound of another deer approaching - and grunting on approach. As I shifted to see the deer that was behind me in the corn - I noticed it was this buck. He was obviously very focused on the small deer in front of me - assuming he was the one making the grunts - and looking for the bleating doe. When the two met each other in the thick hedge row about 20 yards away from me - I moved from seated to standing at full draw.
The big buck walked out of the hedge row at exactly my 25 yard mark - broadside. And the rest is history!
Very exciting!
