Not me! The triploid watermelon we grew this year. Huh? Ok – “seedless” – triploid is the scientific term for “extra chromosome that makes you sterile” – and these watermelons have that. It’s been a tough battle to get them to grow – their very VERY finicky when it comes to germination and I actually had Johnny Seed send me another [...] Come on – don’t they look great? Especially since they are off the tree in our front yard. No chemicals – all natural sunshine – awesome taste! Some of them may “look” a little rough around the edges – but buy ohh boy were we excited to watch these guys develop on the tree this year. Which, [...] Is that a… yup. It’s 3 of them… fresh from OUR garden. Which is kind of amazing considering the cold summer thuse far – but apparently starting these artichokes from seed way back in March was enough to get them to the plate in mid-August. One thing that we found amazing was the difference in taste [...] Everyone loves a cupcake – right? It’s one of those classic “grab and go” desserts. Heck – they come out of a box, right – WRONG (and yuck!) Think Double Vanilla Cupcakes. Think vanilla bean in the batter. Think vanilla bean in the frosting. Think decadence.
