Saturday was chicken processing day – Sunday was a day of “rest”.
All said and done – a crew of 7 people processed 76 chickens in a total “heads down” work time of about 2 hours… not the fastest processing on the planet – but a steady stream of chickens… and a ton of fun.
A very heartfelt thank you to all our processors who helped – we couldn’t have done this without you.
And to our first year of customers – we wouldn’t have done this without you – so thank you, again!
It was a terrific season – and we are already looking forward to next year… more chickens… eggs… we shall see what else!
On Sunday – to “rest”… I cleaned up the final remnants of the season, put the pasture pens away for another year, mowed the pasture and I began weeding the garden that’s been neglected
