For the ardent watchers of the weather conditions here – you will undoubtedly have noticed that there has been almost no wind out here over the last week… well – that’s not because there has been no wind – it’s because the wind speed sensor on the WMR100 seems to have decided to stop sending speed data…
After an email to Oregon Scientific on Monday – that auto responds with the less than inspiring “If you don’t hear anything from us in 4 days – call”… I called Friday.
The idiotic response was “box the WHOLE unit up – every part – and send it back to us… in 4-6 weeks we will send you a new one.” ARE YOU KIDDING! What a piss poor excuse for customer service – they want me to send a box full of a weather station that will cost $30 to mail off to them for a part that will cost less than $8 to mail…
I’ll figure something out – please be patient – and realize – the wind is ALWAYS blowing here!


I hate that kind of customer service. Not acceptable.
